In a class with 8-10 year olds in Newtown yesterday, we played a game of Musical Chairs in which the student who misses one must stand tall and perform a few lines from the Monologue they’ve been learning. It’s some indication that their confidence and enjoyment levels are high when most of them are only pretending to try and get a chair when the music stops! They all want to be in the spotlight! Fantastic! The acting in the monologues is great but the acting when they’re pretending to want a chair …? Hilariously fake!
