Ethics Forum

IMG_9849

A perfect follow up program to Thinking Caps, the Ethics Forum gives teachers the choice of three different scenarios representing issues that have been identified school students from all ages and backgrounds as most important. They could be: Bullying, Building Relationships, Responsibility etc.

The Ethics Forum will give these issues the Image Theatre & Forum Theatre treatment. This means that students are completely interactive with the actors in the presentation, free to call out suggestions as to how the protagonist might solve the problem. The actors have trained for almost every possibility, so they take on student suggestions but as they are blocked at every turn, the actors will enlist more help from the student audience.

The Ethics Forum explores topical issues and takes student perception of social responsibility and good citizenship to a higher level, making them the heroes. As they become wrapped up and involved in the action, they barely notice that they are beginning to have proper debate around ideas that matter.
