Next Five Day Play: Summer 2017 School Holiday Workshop, January 9-18 2017

Looking for the perfect School Holiday Activity? Since 2013 our School Holiday Drama & Creative Arts Workshops have seen primary school kids of all ages brainstorming, devising, rehearsing, making and performing all-original plays for family and friends, and due to demand, we now welcome Year 7 & 8 students to join us too!

Typically, our School Holiday Drama Workshops for kids run for five full days from 9am-3pm with before and after supervision also available. First and foremost, our focus is on fun! Our ice-breaker and improvisation drama games create a very social atmosphere in which students can feel safe to express themselves. And our diverse mix of drama & creative arts stimuli allows for the the wide range of student interests and ability levels that are always present in every group.

Not many of our School Holiday Workshop students would tell you that they improved their literacy skills by doing the Five Day Play, but the fact that every school holidays we have students of all ages clambering to get hold of a script to read over their lines suggests otherwise! It’s literacy & confidence building by stealth! And it’s about the students truly owning the performances they make which now take place – with a big community celebration feel – at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre on the final Friday afternoon!
